Traditional Chasen (Matcha Whisk)

Matcha Whisk also known as “Chasen” (茶筅) is used in traditional tea ceremonies to prepare silky smooth matcha.

Each chasen is handcrafted from a single piece of golden bamboo by master craftsmen to create 100 tines, each measuring less than 0.1mm at its tip, and all carefully woven together with thread. Due to the complex and laborious process, each master craftsman can produce no more than 10 chasen per day. It truly is a work of art.
